Timothy T. Yusko

1961 - 2021

Tacoma, Washington

With grief and sadness, we bid farewell to Timothy "Tim" Yusko on April 7th, 2021. He was a devoted husband, dad, son, brother, Papa, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed and always be in our hearts.

He was born July 20th, 1961 in Tacoma, Washington. He graduated from Stadium High School in 1979. He was currently working for the Department of Enterprise Services at the State Capitol. He began his career with the Washington State Liquor Control Board in 1991 and worked there until 2012. In early February, of this year, Tim had received recognition for his 30 years of service and dedication from the State of Washington.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren outdoors, from the ocean to the mountains, camping and fishing. He loved sitting around campfires and there were many fond memories had at Mineral Lake. Tim loved to tinker. He never turned down the challenge of taking things apart and putting them back together.

Tim touched so many lives around him. Continuosly available for advice and support, he had a good heart and was always there for a  laugh or a cry when needed. He taught us all how to be the best person we could be and he believed in us.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Barbara Yusko. His son Thomas Yusko.  His daughter Katrina Guest and her husband, Patrick. Four beautiful granddaughters Elizabeth, Emily, Rebecca and Sophia. Brothers Joe and Mick. Sisters Cathy and Jackie. As well as family across the country. He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Doris Yusko. A brother Edward and sisters Patty and Linda.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family. If you wish to make a donation to a charity of your choice, Tim was a strong believer in paying it forward.

We will be forever watching for the Bat Signal.

He was a special person. Always a smile and a laugh that was contagious. I remember holding the ladder for him at the Governor’s Mansion, don’t think he was very found of heights but would do what ever had to be done. I considered him my friend and he will be greatly missed

this loss is so great! The obituary captured perfectly the legacy that was gifted to Tim from his parents and in turn to his family. I met Tim at Grant Grade school. There has to be at least a dozen of us that have kept track of one another and met up at reunions only to rekindle the laughter and fun from the early days. Tim was ever constant in his open hearted kindness and interest in life. A real role model on what it looks like to show up for others. One of the best people I had the privilege to grow up with and stay connected to. Rest In Peace Tim, you will be missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Be kind to yourselves.

I met Tim when i worked for LCB. He worked in loss prevention and then with the store set ups. We made the hawks prairie store from scratch and a store person had to be there while anyone was working. Tim and Dan made it fun. Sharing stories and telling jokes. I did not see him a lot after that but he would turn up at any big events. He went to my farewell from the Lcb and would make snarky comments on my facebook. He was such a good person. I am sad he is gone. Prayers to the family. I am sure you have a lot of wonderful memories to keep him in your heart.

I have  known, and been friends with Tim,ever since we met. We met in grade school. We spent a lot of time together outside of school. Sunday dinner with his family. We also went on a picnic,. with his parents. What I remember most is how much respect he had for both his parents. As he grew up he embodied everything they taught him. I would continue to run into Tim throughout my life. The last time , was at a summer reunion. We hung out most of the night. He was also friends with my brother. They both played soccer for the NEAA Rubber Duckies. A very good team .  My family and I went to many games. What I remember most is a young boy with  a lot of talent. He was so quick, with those skinny legs, and socks so big. The only thing holding them up was the top of his cleats. He will always be my forever friend. All my love and prayers to the Yusko family. Heaven is a little brighter, the world's light is flickering. Rest easy my friend.
