Patty and I are saddened to read about Tom's passing.  Our condolences to Kathy and all the May family.  Tom will be in our prayers.  So many fond memories of the 85th Street neighborhood, it was such a great place for us to raise Sarah and have the St. Monica connection.  The May's were a big part of both those things.  Best wishes to all the May's.

Hello Tom May Family--I am a long time retired Boeing Engineering Manger who new Tom very well during my last couple of years at Boeing, circa 1989-1990..  He and I used to discuss at length the budgetary problems I was having on my program at the time and he helped me immensely.

It turned out that one of my wife's first cousins. (Bob Mallon) went to Notre Dame the same time Tom did, so we  had a common denominator there.  We got to talking Notre Dame football many times as I am a fervent Notre Dam Fan.  Well, in 1989, if I remember correctly, Notre Dame was playing Michigan State at South Bend and Tom was not planning to go to that game so  he  offered his tickets to me.  That was a great gesture so we went to the game and Notre Dame won easily.  We had a great time.

Another note  of interest to me is that the Gaffney funeral home is still around.  Both of my parents were buried through Gaffney's.  Ted Gaffney was the proprietor those years, at least when my dad died in 1949.

In closing, although Tom and I did not really socialize,  I wish to express to the May family my sincere condolences on the  loss of a really wonderful man  as I knew him at Boeing.  My best wishes to you all.
