Stephen Garber Obituary

Steve Garber passed away on 4/20 after a long illness when he fell and sustained bleeding in his brain.  He was born in Oct 1945 in Yakima WA where he lived until joining the Army.  He became a helicopter pilot and served 2 tours in Vietnam.   He met his wife of 51 years, Gail, in Yakima and they were married and had their first child in Texas.  They then lived in Tacoma where Steve worked for the US Army Audit Agency.  More recently Steve was involved in real estate and local politics.  Steve served in the national guard and continued to fly helicopters. He was a kind hearted man who felt his purpose in life was to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Gail, his sister Julie Hill, his daughter Lesley Garber ( Andy Carp),  his sons, Rob and David Garber. His 2 grandsons, Tyler and Seth Carp.  In lieu of flowers Steve asked for donations to the Tunnels to Towers foundation.
