Soledad "Chole" Castro

Chole, born December 10th 1934 in El Paso, Tx, peacefully passed away in Tacoma, Wa at
St. Joseph's hospital in the early morning of January 4th. She was 86 years old. She joins her
late husband David Sr. and daughters Guadalupe and Lillian Castro. She is survived by her
children David Jr. (Mody), Francisco (Caroline), and Angela (Keith). Grandma of 8; Jonathon,
Nicole, Crystal, Maria, Kyle, Shawni, Theresa, and Kevin. Great grandma (Nana) of 6; Caleb,
Angel, Marissa, Travis, Keegan, and Brayan.

Preceded by her four siblings; Sabino, Martha, Ruberto (Ruby), and Rudy (Fito) and is survived
by her younger sister Maria Alonso.

Chole's overwhelming love touched everyone she came across. Famous for her homemade
tortillas, Chole welcomed everyone into her home, making sure they never left hungry.
She would most commonly be found being supportive of family and friends in need. Always
available to talk, she made sure to sprinkle her signature sassy nature to bring warmth to our
hearts. 'Grandma's house' will forever be a special place, as the home of an incredible, loving
woman.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Funeral Mass is private and by invitation only. If desired, you may join us at the cemetery where we will be able to spread out and socially distance. Committal services will be at Calvary Cemetery, starting at approximately 2:00 pm - 2:15 pm, following Mass.
