Philip Deibert Obituary

Philip went peacefully to be with the Lord and unite with his wife, Linda Diane, and their daughter Michelle Lynn, on September 3, 2022, 83 years old.
Born in Tacoma, Washington on July 14th, 1939, Philip was the baby with 13 siblings. Philip was a lifelong resident of Tacoma. He attended St Patrick’s school and graduated from Bellarmine High on May 29th, 1958. Soon after he married the Girl next door (literally) Linda Diane Pascmag, their wedding was held at St. Patrick’s Church. Soon after their wedding the couple started their family with their first-born Michele (Shelley) June 22, 1962 proceeded by a son Christopher August 15, 1964 and their last child Mark June 2,1968. After working at several various jobs to support his family Philip accepted a position with St. Regis Paper company at their Kraft Mill in the Port of Tacoma on January 3rd, 1964. There he made many friends and enjoyed the companionship of countless coworkers. He found his place with that Mill and stayed on through several ownership changes over the years. Starting with St. Regis then to Champion International Paper and ending his 46-year career with last and possibly the best Simpson Tacoma Kraft Company retiring in 2010. Sadly, Philip was preceded in death the by his wife Linda who passed on November 17th, 2002. Philip was by her side. Philip was also preceded in death by his first-born Michelle who passed on December 28, 2013. He has three loving Granddaughters Renee Marie, (Kurtis) and Rachel Ann, (Luke) both daughters of Michelle. Also, Kayla Diane Daughter of Mark Danial. (Krista) all who will, like many others, miss him dearly. Arrangements by Gaffney funeral Home and a service to be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1123 North J Street Tacoma, WA, on October 19th at 11:00am.
