Michael Kevin McCann

Michael Kevin McCann (Mike) age 66 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday February18, 2024 on Anderson Island.

He was born November 12, 1957 in Spokane Washington where he lived until he was 11. During those years in Spokane he enjoyed waterskiing with the family, ice skating on a rink his dad made in the back yard, and causing havoc with his brother Dan. After moving to Tacoma, he attended St Charles Borromeo Catholic School and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. In 1976, he met the Love of his life Chris Campbell and after dating for 1 1/2 years he asked her to marry him.

On June 9, 1979 they were married at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
A year later on October 4, 1980 they welcomed their daughter Melissa, then 22 months after that on August 9, 1982 they welcomed their son Dustin. 

He loved to spend time with his family camping, holiday gatherings, going to watch the kids sporting or music events. As everyone knew, he also LOVED garage sales, he had a passion for
them, we all knew that if you mentioned you needed something he would go on a hunt to find it and bring you home 3…just in case one broke, you’d have spares.

He spent most of his working career in the trucking business. Starting with Nichols trucking, Northwest Steel, then ended his career as an owner operator for his own business Mike McCann
Trucking. 

Mike was proceeded in death by his Dad John (Jack), Mom Margaret (Patsy) and Sister Donna. He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years Chris, Daughter Melissa, Son Dustin (Sarah), 4
Grandchildren; Tristen, Colin, Maci, and Kai who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings Dan (Colleen), Peggy (Pat), Rita, Tom, Bob (Amy) and numerous Nieces and
Nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday March 4th at 11:00, St Charles Catholic Church with a reception following.
