Marjorie Kordell Obituary

Marjorie Alberta Johnson Kordell passed away at home on May 30, 2022. She was born January 5, 1927 in Williston, North Dakota to A.O. and Mary E. Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Kordell, her parents, brother Carl A. Johnson, sisters Helen J. Connor and Lillian I. Dobias, and grandson Max McBride.

She is survived by her three children, Joy McBride, Rosalie Raffaell, Kevin Kordell (Angie). Six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren with another on the way.

She worked at the University of Puget Sound from August 1977 until she retired in 1989. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church since 1959, YLI, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 3138, and MCC Community Center.

She will be remembered for playing the piano and teaching herself to play the organ. She was the organist at Visitation for many years, played for countless weddings and funerals over the years, and was always happy to sit down and play at any function that was in need of music!

While a stay-at-home mom, she did volunteer work at the church, school, and other organizations.

We were the lucky ones to have her as our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. We all love and miss you.
