Linda Lesick Obituary

Linda Marie (Lynn) Lesick was born, September 25th, 1947, to Dean and Gertrude (Trudy) Wilson in Storm Lake, Iowa. Lynn went to be with the Lord on April 8th, 2023, at age 75.

After Lynn graduated from Coquille High School, Oregon in 1965, she continued on to Cosmetology School in Coos Bay, where she had many successful years as a hairstylist. In 1983 Lynn, her former husband, and their three children moved to Gig Harbor, Washington. Through these years, Lynn devoted herself to raising her children.

In 1994, Lynn met her husband Thomas (Tom) Lesick at Life Center Church in Tacoma where they were married on Valentine’s Day in 1996. At that time, Lynn moved to Tacoma where she resided, overlooking the beautiful view of the Puget Sound and Narrows Bridge, until her passing.

Lynn has always been a faithful servant of the church. Her passion for being a table leader at various women's bible studies was a blessing to many. She volunteered countless hours at the Life Center Thrift Store, Super Kids Club and helped with many other Christ centered ministries. In 1998 Lynn and her husband Tom earned their Commercial Drivers Licenses together and spent one fun-filled year ‘long hauling’ for Interstate Trucking Company.

Lynn was fun and outgoing. She took on many hobbies including sailing, bowling, camping with family, and in her later years feeding the birds and rabbits in her yard.

Lynn was always ready for adventure. She was the first one on the rollercoaster, the first one on the dance floor and always brought joy and laughter to any gathering. Speaking of family gatherings, Lynn loved the joy of a family gathering and always brought her cheer and an excess of food and gifts for all. So much so, that she was nicknamed ‘Mrs. Claus’ every Christmas when she arrived with huge sacks of gifts for every child!

Lynn is survived by her husband Tom, her sister Sandee (Steve) Morgan, and her brother-in-law Dan Nawman; her children: Leslie (Keenan) Widrig, Lancer (Julea) Fitzhugh, and Shelley (Kirk) Rodda, her stepchildren Diana (Chad) Parker and Tom Lesick Junior, as well as her 22 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Lynn will be remembered most for her deep love for the Lord, her beloved poodles: Jazper, Colette, and Cody, and of course for her family.
