James Michael Aquino

James Michael Aquino (Jim) was born June 16, 1947 in Tacoma, WA to Frank and Rose Aquino. He attended Stanley and St Leo’s Elementary Schools. He graduated from Bellarmine High School and Seattle University. Throughout his life, Jim held a variety of jobs, the majority of them in the food service industry. He was an accomplished caterer and owned Aquino’s Kitchen Delicatessen. Jim passed away peacefully January 19, 2023 at the age of 75.  

Jim’s greatest joy was spending time with his son James, his grandsons, Trey and Maddox and his 4-legged furry buddy, Sammy. He also loved making and sharing food with family and friends.  

We will miss his love, generosity, delicious food, wonderful sense of humor, and loud, thunderous laugh!  

Jim is preceded in death by Barbara, his wife of 43 years, and parents Frank and Rose Aquino. He is survived by his son James, grandsons Trey and Maddox, and sisters Marie and Lorraine (Frank), many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 18, at 1:00 in St. Rita’s Hall, at 1403 South Ainsworth, Tacoma WA.
