Elizabeth O'Keefe Obituary

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann (Williams) O’Keefe

March 3, 1965 -September 9, 2021

Beth O’Keefe, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 56, after a valiant battle with metastatic colon cancer. Beth was born in Ashland, WI, and spent her earliest years in Superior, WI. At the age of 4, she moved with her family to Tacoma, WA, where she attended Grant Elementary and St Patrick’s Catholic School. She was 10 years old, when the family moved to Gig Harbor, WA. Beth graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 1983, and earned her Dental Assistant degree from Clover Park Technical College. After several years working in dentistry, she returned to CPTC for her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. Beth ended her career in nursing with several years at the Weatherly Inn. This was a job that she truly loved, and she made many dear friends amongst the clients and staff.

Nothing brought Beth more joy than her children, Megan and Brady. She was incredibly proud of both of them and their accomplishments, and she loved them beyond words.

Beth is survived by daughter Megan; son Brady; parents Clayton and JoAnn Williams; siblings Katie Borowski, Nancy Eakin (Clay), Amy Miller (Noah), and Patrick Williams (Stephanie); former husband John O’Keefe; and 10 nieces and nephews: Justin, Emma, and Eli Borowski; Jay, Dan, and Luke Robinson; and Zeb, Anna, Emily, and Julia Miller.

The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to Leah and the staff at Tender Shelter AFH for the compassionate care they provided to Beth and to the entire family. We also extend sincere gratitude to Tim Grant, Beth's very first friend upon moving to Tacoma, for the extraordinary care he continues to provide.

The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
