Elizabeth Antush

Betty, or Betty Ann, died peacefully in Spokane, WA, on June 26, 2023.

Daughter of William A. Harn Sr and Kezia (Gwinnett) Harn. She was raised in Kent, WA and graduated from Kent-Meridian High School (1953) and from Seattle University (1957) where she received her degree in Education and met her beloved husband, Jerry. She taught in the Seattle School District and for many years was a substitute in the Puyallup School District. After retiring, she traveled the world with her husband, including trips to China, Europe, and Africa. She had an abiding love for the coast and spent many happy years visiting Westport, WA. She never lost her love for teaching and helping young people learn, as her sons, grandchildren and countless others know so well. She was active in her Catholic Church and held a special devotion for the Blessed Virgin.  Predeceased by her husband Jerome T. Antush, she is survived by Thomas (Tirriona), Daniel, of Tacoma, Matthew (Kristi), Nicholas (Pamela), of Spokane, her brother William (Marge), seven grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, students, and friends. Special thank you to Margaret and Stephen at Eden Care, in Spokane, for their loving attention to our mother.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Leo’s Church, 710 S. 13th St, Tacoma WA, 984065 on July 13th, 2023, at 12:10 PM, Inurment at Calvary Cemetery, 5215 S. 70th St, Tacoma WA, 98467. Rosary at 11:00 AM prior to the funeral mass at St. Leo’s.
