Obituary Bob Denomy On January 19, 2015 the world lost but Heaven gained Bob Denomy. The Lord took Bob from us too soon on a vacation in Hawaii with the love of his life Carlyn Roy. His final days were filled with sunshine, laughter, a Seahawks win, and a view of the ocean and mountains of Kauai. Bob loved mountains and the Puget Sound. In childhood, Bob traveled the world. His father, Robert Denomy Sr, an Air Force officer who preceded him to Heaven, took Bob from his birthplace at Chanute AFB in Champaign, IL to Japan, Germany, Hawaii and finally Tacoma. He graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. His Bachelor's degree and juris doctorate were completed at University of Puget Sound (UPS). Bob was also a licensed real estate broker and a CPA. His law firm was built on his highly regarded expertise in real estate law. Bob, a dedicated father, cherished every moment with his son. Nothing was a greater priority in his life. They enjoyed skiing, camping, boating and fixing anything in need of repair. Everyone knew the joy he experienced with his son. He was proud to call Braden "his kid." Bob's dedication to what he held dear was further exemplified by his every Friday night date with his mother, Charlotte. He loved relaxing at the cabin in Packwood regardless of the season. He taught Braden and Carlyn to ski at White Pass. He skied many mountains and loved to track the vertical. As a proud member of the Tribe of SOYP, he looked forward to trips to great ski resorts with his ski club. Tacoma was his community. Bob loved and was a champion for Tacoma. Some of his contributions included service on volunteer boards - the Chamber of Commerce, Master Builders Association, UPS Alumni, UPS Trustee and Rotary 8. Bob was a member of City Club, Tacoma Pierce County Association of Realtors, Washington Society of CPA's, and Tacoma Golf and Country Club, Bob's legacy will be carried on by Braden, his son; Charlotte, his mother; Donelda (Donnie) Denomy Curren, his sister and her family Tom and Robert; his many friends and Carlyn Roy. We will miss his smile. He would walk into every event with a smile on his face. He could change the mood in a room. Thank you, Bob, for blessing our lives. You are missed, but your impact lives on. Bob's Celebration of Life will be held at the Landmark Convention Center on February 4, 2015 at 4 pm. Attendees are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts.
