Timothy “Tim” Keely, age 95, born on November 1, 1930 passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026 in Kirkland, Washington.
Tim was born in Tacoma, Washington, where he spent nearly his entire life. He graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School, earned his undergraduate degree from Saint Martin’s College, and went on to receive his master’s degree from the University of Washington. While in attending grad school in Seattle, he met his wife, Sharon, and they were married in 1963. He proudly served as an Intelligence Officer with United States Air Force.
Tim dedicated over 45 years to teaching economics at Tacoma Community College, where he impacted generations of students with his knowledge, wit, and steady guidance.
He was a devoted family man who found great joy in spending time with loved ones, especially at his cabin, and in sharing stories from his many travels. His warmth, humor, and storytelling will be deeply missed.
Tim is survived by his four children: Jeff (AJ) and their children Tim, Katherine, Hailey, and Tom; Paul (Karine) and their children Zach, Cooper, and Rayce; John; and Lynn.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross in Tacoma, with refreshments to follow.
