Susan Lougheed Odencrantz

Susan died September 29, 2025 in Tacoma, WA at the age of 77. She was born in Somerville, NJ on July 4, 1948.

She was always a good student and national merit scholar. She received her Masters of Library Science from U.C. Berkeley.

She worked for Altadena, Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks libraries.

She moved to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 1996. She moved to Tacoma as the assistant director of Tacoma Public Library and became the director 18 months later.

She always found the people she worked with very talented, imaginative and fun.

Susan is survived by her sister Kirsten.
