Robbie Quidachay Tabios, age 66, of Yigo, Guam, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Tacoma, Washington. He was born on March 24, 1958 to Lourdes Quitugua Quidachay and Egmedio Avila Tabios.
Robbie was born in Guam, attended Anderson Elementary School, Dededo Junior High and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1975. Robbie loved playing basketball for his school and also for the Filipino Association in Guam. He was also a member of the honor band in high school and played saxophone. He loved working with cars, whether it’s repairing or finding things to make his cars look good. In adulthood, he used his skills in maintenance and repairing to pursue a career as a maintenance technician for homes and apartments, and later with hotels. He shared a lot of this knowledge with others including his grandchildren. During his time off, he continued his desire for cars by working on them as a hobby along with shooting billiards, barbecuing and staying active with his grandchildren. He loved fishing, camping and spending time outdoors.
Above all of the things he enjoyed, Robbie especially loved to spend time with his family. He had a special gift of bringing everyone together. Robbie left an impression on anyone he crossed paths with, whether it be through laughter or simply through his kind heart.
Robbie moved in 1986 to Alaska to be closer to his siblings. He got married in December 1987 to wife Elizabeth Borja. He had three wonderful children and they were his pride and joy. In May 2007, Robbie relocated to Tacoma, WA due to medical reasons. On Thanksgiving Day 2009, he became a heart transplant recipient.
