Nancy Rose McDonald, age 76, was born in Tacoma, Washington, on June 28, 1949. She passed away on December 16, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She married the love of her life, Daniel McDonald, on February 3, 1968, and they shared 57 years of marriage. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where her faith guided her daily life.
As a devoted wife and mother, she dedicated her life to raising her nine boys. She had a special way of making each of her sons feel special and loved.
She will be remembered for her amazing homemade meals, her creativity, and her ability to turn thrifted items into beautiful home decor. She loved music, laughter and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Known as “Nana,” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she made each one feel treasured, playing “Rock School” with them and giving “friendship rocks” as a reminder of how much they were loved.
Nancy’s faith was very important to her, and she lived it. She always cared for others, especially those in need. Whether it was visiting the lonely or giving to the homeless, she believed that faith was shown more through actions than through words.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel McDonald, and her sons:
Martin McDonald (Rebecca)
Joseph McDonald (Tufan)
Ben McDonald (Moana)
Zachary McDonald (Angelynn)
Richard McDonald (Chelle)
Isaac McDonald (Nina)
Simon “Peter” McDonald
Matthew McDonald
Sam McDonald (Allison)
Her loving memory will live on through her 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
