Obituary Melvin Carl Rowe Melvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at Tacoma General Hospital. He was born in Milton to Sam and Ida Rowe. After graduation from Fife High School in 1942 he served in the US Navy during WWII on the battleship USS Idaho. He is an honorary member of the Carpenters' Local Union 470. His love for construction shows in the wonderful homes he built for his family He loved the great outdoors, building a mountain cabin at Goose Prairie. He loved fishing, hunting, sports, pets, and sharing memories, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and the love of his life, Wanda, his high-school sweetheart.
