Loretta Ann Boyle

Loretta was born July 26 1933 in Tacoma Washington to George and Hilda Bader. She grew up on South 30th with her 7 brothers and sisters. Attended Holy Rosary and St Leo’s school. At 16 she met a boy from Bellarmine, Arthur Boyle. They Dated throughout her last years in high school and she waited for him while he was away in the Korean war. Art came home and they were immediately engaged and married on April 11 1953. This young in love couple were blessed 9 months later with their first born Michael, then Patricia, Donald, Kathleen, Gregory and Christine.

Once all kids were in school Loretta worked for Western Clinic, which is now part of st Joesph’s hospital. Loretta was a take charge kind of person and quickly rose to management. She worked there until she retired at 64. Art and Loretta enjoyed traveling, working on their ocean place in north cove Washington, and being with their family and friends. They loved dancing, playing cards and just being together. Loretta and Art were married 74 years and lived every moment. Mom was part of Catholic Woman’s Group, Serra Club and St. Elizabeth Circle. She loved making Easter baskets and Christmas stockings and bringing them to retirement communities. She had a passion for gardening and was always ready to help at her children’s places.

Loretta was a beautiful light that Brightened everyone’s lives she will be so missed but we know she is watching over all of us.

Loretta leaves behind her husband Art, Sister Lorraine Ross sister in law Tamara Bader, children Michael (Ana Luisa), Patricia (Nick) (Donald’s wife Janet), Kathleen (Randy), Gregory (Nancy Ann), Christine (Rick). Grandchildren Michael jr, Patrick,Quinn, Christopher, Ryan, Lily, Timothy, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Laura, Lisa, Jack, Benjamin and Matthew

Great grandchildren Mia, Vincent, Mason, Kinslee, Bentley, Brooklyn, Noah, Mila,George.

Loretta is preceded in death by her son Donald, siblings Hilda Gallagher (Denny), Bernie Treleven (Bob), George Bader, Rosemary Friedhoff (Robert) and Arthur Bader (Betty)

Services will be in the chapel at Calvary Catholic cemetery on Thursday August 6th 2026 at 11:00am.
