Obituary Kathryn Elizabeth Southward Kathryn Elizabeth (Kate) Southward, born on October 17, 1982, was called to heaven on October 5, 2012. At only 29 years of age, Kate left us much too soon, but we are relieved to know she is at peace. Kate very much enjoyed nature: camping, hiking in the forest, walking on the beach and campfires. Kate also loved spending time with her family and friends. Kate was caring and thoughtful, forever thinking of others, giving gifts, and putting the needs of others before her own. Kate is loved and will be missed by her beautiful daughter Skye Scott; parents Jill and Vern Southward; sister Lisa McAllister (Matt, Jessica & Emily); sister Susan Erickson (Brian, Josef & Jade); brother Bob Southward; grandmother Joan Sullivan and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Kate's life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Lakeside Country Club on American Lake. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the staff at Tacoma General Hospital for the care they provided to Kate.
