James Lange, age 44, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington.
James was born on October 18, 1981, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Jean Lange. In his younger years, James loved playing baseball and basketball and spending time outdoors with his friends. When he became an older brother at age ten, it quickly became his favorite title and the greatest gift he could receive. Throughout his life, James always made sure his siblings were safe and cared for, no matter where life took him.
Over the years, James worked in several trades, including roofing, bartending, and welding. He was known for his witty humor, loyalty to those he loved, and his talent for making a good meal. James enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, spending time outdoors, and never turned down a game of Mario Kart—where he almost always won.
James is survived by his sisters, Jessica Tuley of Puyallup, Washington, and Breanna (Tyler) Lothert of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; his brother, Jonathan Tuley of Seattle, Washington; and his beloved nieces and nephew, Ivory, Delaney, and Denny Lothert, all of Redwood Falls.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Lange; grandmother, Jo Krager; cousin, Amanda Nieland; uncle, James Nieland; and his four-legged companion, Bernie.
Arrangements will be announced at a later date
