James John Jonczyk

Obituary James John Jonczyk Jim was born on May 22, 1926 in Tacoma, Washington to Anna and Harry Jonczyk. He graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Puget Sound. He served the U.S. Navy during World Ward II and participated in invasions at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He worked for 43 years for Farmers Insurance Company in their claims department. He enjoyed dancing and playing tennis. Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years Irene, his two sons Jeffrey and Joel Jonczyk, grandchildren Kelley Brager and Bradley Jonczyk, great grand-daughter Isabelle Brager and his sister Dorothy Kent. Private family service will be held with interment at Calvary Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Tacoma Country Club on November 2, at 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
