Jerry was born September 10, 1940 in Port Angeles, Washington. He passed away on November 5, 2025 in Tacoma, Washington.

He was raised in Sequim, Washington and graduated from Sequim High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Washington University and his Master's Degree from University of Puget Sound.

He began his teaching career in Tacoma School District. He was a member of the Tacoma Teachers Association.

Jerry enjoyed gardening and fishing. A favorite place for many years was Crescent Bar.

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Phyllis McNamara, brother David. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose Marie, brother James, nieces Rhonda, Adrienne and Stephanie, nephews Kevin and Lance.

Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, November 19th at 11AM.
