John Chytil

CHYTIL, John Leland (Age 82) - Passed away December 21, 2019.  John was born October 3, 1937 in Seattle, WA.  He is survived by his wife, Judy, three daughters, Corinne, Kari and Cathy (Kevin) and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  John graduated from West Seattle High School in 1956.  He married Sandra Thompson in 1958 with whom they had three daughters.  John joined the Seattle Police Department in 1961 and retired in 1979.  After his retirement he did home repair work, becoming an exacting craftsman with wood, flooring, and countertops.  He also worked at Detox in Seattle, which was to him one of the most rewarding jobs he held.  In 1992 John married Judy and she brought with her into the relationship her two sons, Todd and Sean (Heidi) and two additional grandchildren.  Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Gaffney Funeral Home 1002 S. Yakima Ave. Tacoma, WA.  Inurnment services Friday, January 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th ST, Kent, WA.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation https://www.alz.org/alzwa  or a charity of your choice.
