We believe that the most valuable thing that we own cannot be seen or touched -- it is the goodwill of the people we have served and the people that recommend us.  We are one of the few remaining family-owned and family-operated mortuaries in the area.  Unlike the out-of-state chains that exist in the area we are able to put your needs first.  Why does ownership matter?  It is not our claim that the giant parent companies of some local funeral homes don't care about you or your family.  However, as mandated by public ownership, their first concern is for the well-being of their stockholders.  At Gaffney Funeral Home, no one has ever been turned away for a lack of money - rarely does a month go by that we don't care for the poor.

We offer the widest range of options available.  We are not the least expensive and we are far from being the most.  Our service costs are in the middle by comparison to others and represent what we think is the ideal combination of price and top quality.  Others charge extra for the most basic of services; some competitors even make you pay for long distance phone calls and faxes.  We offer a wide selection of caskets and can easily compete with other casket sellers.  We hear from an increasing number of people who are concerned about the cremation process. We are pleased to relate the strict procedures we adhere to for every cremation.
