Larry Gaffney, President, Funeral Director/Embalmer & Owner Email: larry@gaffneyfuneralhome.com Larry is a lifelong native of Tacoma.  Born at St. Joseph's Hospital, he graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory and then received his degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University.  Larry then attended Mt. Hood Community College in the Mortuary Science program and attained his Mortuary Science degree.  Shortly thereafter he joined the firm and became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.  Larry is a Third Generation Funeral Director. Larry is currently President of the firm and enjoys serving families who call on the funeral home for assistance. Larry attends St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and his civic involvements are many, including Serra Club (President), Tacoma Executives Association (Past President), Rotary #8 (Paul Harris Fellow), Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, Tacoma Elks Lodge #174, Tacoma Club and several other organizations. Larry is married to Ellen and they reside in Gig Harbor with their husky Zoya.

Ellen Gaffney, Vice President, Funeral Director & Owner Email: ellen@gaffneyfuneralhome.com Ellen was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and moved to Tacoma with her husband Larry after graduation.  After graduating from St. Mary's Academy she attended Gonzaga University where she received her degree in Psychology.  She joined the firm as a Office Manager and became a licensed Funeral Director. Ellen is Vice President of the firm and enjoys meeting with and making arrangements with families that call on the funeral home. Ellen has always taken an active role in the Community including the Catholic Woman's Club, Serra Club and Tacoma Elks #174.  She is also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Ellen is married to Larry and they reside in Gig Harbor with their husky Zoya.

Corey Gaffney, General Manager & Funeral Director Email: corey@gaffneycares.com Corey is a lifelong native of Tacoma.  Born in Tacoma General Hospital, he graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory High School and then attended Gonzaga University majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Philosophy.  After working for several years with the firm, he became a Certified Crematory Operator and a Licensed Funeral Director.  Corey is a Fourth Generation Funeral Director. Corey is General Manager of the firm and is responsible for its overall direction and operations. Corey enjoys taking a role in the community and our field, recently being honored to serve as an International Cemetery Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) Board Member.  Corey attends the Church of St. Patrick in Tacoma. Corey is married to Jen and they both reside in Tacoma with their daughter and two cats.

Jim Hammond, Director of Sales Email: jim@gaffneyfuneralhome.com Jim was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Northglenn Sr. High in Northglenn Co.  He joined the firm as Director of Sales. Jim began his career in death care as a Cemetery Counselor in 1987 in Denver, Colorado for SCI.  Jim served as the Regional Trainer from 1990 to 1993, training many death care professionals.  Jim then transferred to Washington in 1993 to Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home where he served as Sales Manager.  Jim was named Sales Manager of the year 1993, 1994 and 1996 for the Northwest Region of SCI.  In May of 1997 Jim joined Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park. There he served as the Director of Sales, only the 5th person to hold that job in their 93 years of operation. Jim has completed all the courses at the ICCFA University, while graduating in 2007 as the Class Valedictorian.  Jim also serves as a professor at the ICCFA University teaching classes in Cremation Marketing and Building a Family Service Team. Jim has completed courses in Sales Manager Certification from SCI, Forethought Managers Institute, and has been privileged to have been a part of many speaking engagements at the WCFA, Canadian Cremation Association & the Canadian Cemetery Association. Jim is the Director of Sales and is responsible for many aspects of our daily and long term operations. Jim resides in Bremerton with his wife Connie.

Tim Grant, Senior Funeral Director/Embalmer Email: tim@gaffneyfuneralhome.com Tim was born in Wichita, Kansas and moved to Tacoma after a year with his family.  He attended and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory and attended Pierce College and achieved his Associate Degree.  He worked at the firm during his education, and in pursuit of his Mortuary Science degree attended Mt. Hood Community College.  He obtained his Funeral Director and also his Embalmer license and has been with the firm ever since. Tim is the Senior Funeral Director/Embalmer and is responsible for many of the daily operations of the firm. Tim enjoys taking an active role in the community, including Rotary #8, a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and various swimming and soccer clubs.  Tim attends the Church of St. Patrick in Tacoma. Tim lives in Tacoma with his wife Ann Marie and his three children.

Jen Gaffney, Graphic Design & Accounting Email: jen@gaffneyfuneralhome.com Jen was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont and moved to Lakewood with her parents and sister during junior high.  After graduating from Lakes High School, she attended the University of Washington where she received her Bachelor's Degree.  In December of 1999, Jen joined the firm as a Night Associate. Jen is in charge of Graphic Design & Accounting for the firm. Jen currently resides in Tacoma with her husband Corey and their daughter and two cats.
