with no minimum requirements for facilities such as refrigeration,
preparation rooms, and other essentials. We at Gaffney Funeral Home
strongly urge you to become informed. For example,
it is legal in Washington State for someone to operate a cremation
service from a home, vehicle or storefront.
The crematory for such a company could be in a garage or industrial
warehouse unknown to you. If
someone tells you that he will perform the cremation for one half or
less than the price of most others,
there is probably a reason. Consider your satisfaction with a
low-bidder service that transfers the deceased,
improper and, perhaps, illegal refrigeration practices, extended
periods of time to complete the
cremation process, and staff that give you anything but a sense of
confidence that everything will be
handled in a professional manner. We believe that you want value, not
the problems often associated with something "cheap."
